Essay
The Ranchero was launched in 1958 and was only in production for approximately two years. This watch borrows stylistically from its predecessors, the Railmaster, Seamaster and Speedmaster which were launched the previous year and was marketed toward the South American market. While the Ranchero was not as widely recognized as some other Omega models from the same era, it has gained a dedicated following among vintage watch collectors who appreciate its understated charm and rarity. Most examples were produced in stainless steel with fewer produced in a gold plated finish.
