Originally founded in 1845, it took until 1994 for A. Lange & Söhne to introduce the classic Lange 1, symbolising a new beginning and the continuation of a long-standing horological tradition.
The Lange 1 design has remained untouched for 25 years with its recognisable case & lugs, including the iconic dial featuring asymmetric hour dial and second sub-dial. The original Lange 1 was swiftly followed by the release of the little Lange 1 in 1998. Identical in design, the main difference being the size reduction from the existing 38.5mm to 36mm.
