Essay
The OMEGA 30T2 was one of the most famous Chronometer calibres ever made and was designed by René Bannwart who was head of OMEGA’s creation department from 1939 to 1952.
First launched in 1939, the 30T2 were initially produced using 30mm cases and its precision and reliability made it an ideal candidate for chronometer-certified watches produced from 1941 onwards.
Its outstanding performance made the 30mm the most precise wristwatch calibre ever tested at Neuchatel, Geneva and Kew, Teddington.
