Essay: In 1962 this reference had a change in naming convention from 2998-62 to the new reference number system making it 105.002. This example was made during the end of its short, 6 month production run as demonstrated by its inclusion of baton hands rather than the earlier steel alpha hands seen on the 2998. The dial does not feature 'T' marks denoting tritium and was the last reference to carry the silver rehaut (the inner bezel ring of a watch which surrounds the dial).
