Inspired by the popular designs of the Railmaster, Seamaster 300 and 1957 Speedmaster, the OMEGA Ranchero was aimed at the newly emerging South American market. Its sleek, barrel shaped case contrasted with its dial that harked back to OMEGA’s past in wristwatch innovations, while the wristwatch’s size was more in keeping with a dress wristwatch and therefore, very easy to wear.

Unfortunately, the term ‘Ranchero’ means farm hand and so, it was met with a very poor reception and thus discontinued- hence its rarity.
