Notes

Evolving from the first pocket chronographs developed by the Brandt brothers in 1885, the early series production OMEGA chronographs fitted with 19’’’ CHRO calibre in 1898, those to measure the distance of a lightning strike, the speed of a bullet, the lap of an Olympic athlete or to aid such great men as Thomas Edward Lawrence- better known as Lawrence of Arabia, OMEGA has a long and well established history in the production and development of fine chronograph timepieces.

This particular model is fitted with calibre 27 CHRO C12. The 27 CHRO C12 went on to be developed into the calibre 321, subsequently classed as ‘flight qualified’ by NASA and was used in the OMEGA Speedmaster – the first wristwatch worn on the Moon in 1969.
