This bracelet watch is striking in its sculpted form that boasts the flamboyance of spirit that accompanied the closer to World War 2. Fitted with the calibre R11.5 designed by Henri Kneuss, the smallest barrel shaped calibre made by OMEGA at that time, it could be worn as both a piece of jewellery as well as a hidden timekeeper so a Lady about town would never be late.

World History

- The "Great Escape": 76 Royal Air Force prisoners of war escape by tunnel "Harry" from Stalag Luft III.

- The last eruption of Mount Vesuvius.

- The BBC transmits a coded message (the first line of the poem "Chanson d'automne" by Paul Verlaine) to the French Resistance, warning that the invasion of Europe is imminent.
